  • Bus

Standing in the Old Town, the Iglesia de San Vicente is the oldest in San Sebastián. It was built in the early 16th century in Basque Gothic style under the orders of masters of quarry Miguel de Santa Celay and Juan de Urrutia. In Gothic style, the Iglesia de San Vicente’s interior is home to one of the finest Romanesque altarpieces, work of Ambrosio de Bengoechea and Juan de Iriarte. Sharing the limelight is the 1868 French organ by Cavaille-Coll and impressive stained glass windows. On one side of the facade is the sculpture of the “Pietà” by the artist Jorge Oteiza.
